Carroll Newkirk Herring, a pioneer in senior care in Wilmington, NC, passed away on January 15, 2025. A Wilmington native, she founded Eldercare At Home in 1973, inspired by her own experience caring for her mother. Beyond her professional impact, Carroll was a devoted wife, mother, and community leader, active in Westminster Presbyterian Church and the American Business Women’s Association. Her legacy lives on through Eldercare At Home and AssistedCare at Home, ensuring seniors receive compassionate, dignified care at home.
